About the Event
Policy Horizons the the Government of Canada's Centre of Expertise in Foresight. Futures Week is an annual virtual foresight conference. Registration is free and open to all. All session will run between 10am and 3pm EDT.
The Keynote will be given by Peter Schwartz, and there will be sessions on:
- international public sector perspectives on the future
- Disruptions on the horizon from a Cdn perspective
- Emerging issues affecting society and social cohesion in Canada
- How our living arrangements could be shaped by demographic, economic and climate changes, as well as cultural differences
- Geotechnomics - the interplay between geopolitics, technology and economics (international and Canadian perspectives)
- Existential Risks
- The future of Space (this session will be in French, with simultaneous interpretation in English)
- Systemic transformation
